12 best Disney Channel songs for karaoke
If you grew up in the 2000's then Disney Channel Original movies surely left a massive impact on to you. This period of culture represents the last true mono-culture, where everyone was tuning in for the same programs and would go to school the next day to talk about it. It was a time where we really were All In This Together.
Many of the movies contained a musical element, introducing us to songs that have been ingrained in our minds ever since. So what better way to trigger a flash of nostalgia than singing some Disney Channel karaoke. So without further ado, here are 12 best DCOM original songs for your next karaoke session:
1. Breaking Free – Highschool Musical
Of course this song would be number one on the list, it is the song that truly defines what the Highschool Musical movies are all about. And I mean they even met at a karaoke party!
This tender musical moment between Troy and Gabriella had us all sobbing. This song is not even just limited to this list of Disney Channel songs, but Breaking Free actually ranks as one of the most popular karaoke songs in Australia and the UK, ranking #21 and #10 most sung respectively.

Will you sing Shane or Mitchi's part? Both? This epic duet is another Disney Channel hit that manages to rank among the most popular karaoke songs world wide, this time in Spain. The only other Camp Rock song that has it beat out is the "She's really good!" keyboard solo, but sadly there is no karaoke version of it, yet...
3. What Dreams Are Made Of – Lizzy McGuire Movie
While the movie itself has a theatrical release, it originates from a Disney Channel show, so we will allow it in the list. Besides, this song was the biggest moment in cinematic history, and still has yet to be surpassed. The colosseum they built especially for this movie, is still the most visited spot in Rome, Italy.

Ignoring the questionable live action remake, Kim Possible was the badass, female action hero we needed. She showed us yes you can manage school, fitness, your social life, and a job all at the same time... still figuring out how to do it myself though. Also apparently Steve Jobs was inspired to create the iPhone from the Kimmunicator.

Zetus lapetus! This song is just straight up poetry with lyrics like "Breathing in you give me air, I'm living off your solar flare" and "Zoom, zoom, zoom". Despite being set in the future, Protazoa is maybe the most 90's band to ever exist.
