Thursday Nostalgia

Off the back of a very successful 90's Hip Hop brunch, Barrio have been looking for a form of entertainment that fits in well with their brand and retains customers to help drive revenue - enter 'Lip's Don't Lie' - a Thursday night throwback 90's karaoke event.

“We have been looking for a form of entertainment to help increase our takings on a Thursday evening. Karaoke is perfect for us, it incentivises pre-bookings, which in turn helps the walk-in trade because the venue looks buzzing. It also retains customers because of the fun element of the evening. The retention means an increase in revenue – we have only just launched the event but already we have seen our turnover on a Thursday increase by 4 times.”

On Trend Entertainment

“We chose Singa as it modernises the old school way of doing karaoke with song books. The digital experience is perfect for our audience and our staff. It is user friendly to set up, run and manage. It's a very flexible, portable system and therefore it gives up options for different ways of monetising the entertainment for the venue, be it open mic Thursday night karaoke or an add on for corporate business.” Liz Cranney, Head of Marketing and Sales, Barrio Bar.
