Introducing Singa Business Party Mode: Guests can now request karaoke songs from their phones
On a busy karaoke night, most requests go through the host or the Singa Pro iPad. Guests crowd around it to scroll for a song, ask how to send song requests, shout titles over the music, or give up and head back to the bar. Sound familiar?
Party Mode takes the wait out of it.
With the new Party Mode feature in Singa Business, guests can request karaoke songs directly from their phones by scanning a QR code on the karaoke screen. No app downloads or accounts needed.
How does Singa Party Mode work?
Party Mode displays a QR code on your karaoke screen. Guests simply scan it with their phone camera and browse the karaoke catalogue in their browser.
They can choose their preferred song version, guide vocals, and key, add their singer name, and send their song to the queue.
The page stays open, so they can keep adding songs without scanning the QR code again.
While a song is playing, the QR code appears in the bottom-right corner of the karaoke screen. Between songs, the QR code fills the screen, making it easy for guests to discover how to request songs.
How to activate Party Mode in three steps
Setting up QR-code song requests at your venue is simple.
Step 1: Update Singa Pro
Check that you have the latest iOS and Singa Pro updates installed, then restart the Singa Pro app.
Step 2: Enable song requests
In Singa Pro, open Venue settings from the top of the karaoke view and make sure Song requests is switched on.
The Venue and Requests indicators should both be green.
Note: If you also want to show ads between songs, switch Ads on so that its indicator is green too.
Step 3: Check the QR code
Check that the QR code appears on the karaoke screen. While a song plays, it should be visible in the bottom-right corner.
You can switch Party Mode on or off for individual rooms or entire venues.
Does Party Mode work offline?
Party Mode requires an internet connection because guests send their song requests online.
Songs you accept are downloaded to the iPad in the background, helping ensure reliable playback once a song is in the queue.
