Hogarths, Stafford, is a recently opened pub whose strategy is to appeal to young people. To bring their concept to life, the pub planned their drinks offerings and cocktails accordingly, ensuring popular gins and rums were available. However, this alone wasn't enough to attract their target customer group. Hogarths needed a more permanent source of entertainment and settled on the idea of karaoke. Steve, Pub Landlord, explained that karaoke brings people into the venue that may not have otherwise visited. Their karaoke offering is extremely popular and booked in advance by an average of 3 weeks. Once inside the pub, those customers taking part in karaoke tend to stay longer and spend more because they are enjoying themselves.
