Coronavirus has cancelled all of our plans and many of us are practising social distancing, isolation and self-quarantining to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Children are off school, all events are cancelled, public places are closed and people are only taking necessary trips from the house. One of the symptoms of this though is boredom and when boredom strikes - it's time to get creative!

Singing is one of the best ways to keep yourself and ALL the family entertained. With Singa, karaoke is available at home on your mobile, Smart TV or desktop and with over 80,000 songs to choose from, you quite literally sing anything from anywhere, although in this case, most likely from your living room.

Here's your complete guide to quarantine karaoke.

Get your home karaoke setup right

Singing from home couldn't be easier and is available on any device, here's some instructions on how to get started:

  • Download the Singa app from the app store (Google Play or iOS) on your phone or tablet, or go to on your computer and create an account through your browser
  • Want your karaoke lyrics on a bigger screen? Connect your device to your TV with a HDMI cable (some devices such as an iPad may need an AV adaptor)
  • If you want a microphone for your vocals, you can do this by plugging your mic directly into your device or through a mixer and your home speakers.

If you have got any questions about set up, you can always reach us via socials or email us

Share the karaoke fun with friends outside of your home

You don't have to sing alone either - over on our Instagram, we are running regular quarantine karaoke live events where you can tune in, request a song and join the biggest virtual karaoke party there is to help keep others entertained too.

It's not only about fun, singing helps in many ways

Singing is really good for you, it can distract your mind from what is an anxious period for everyone. Without evening knowing it, singing helps you breathe properly and concentrate on one task - even if it is only for the length of that one song.

Singing is amazing for your mental health

Many people are using Singa as an educational tool whilst home tutoring their children who cannot go to school. What better than some singing as a makeshift music lesson whilst at home. We have lots of suitable singlists to make this easy for you too - like our Children's Sing Along playlist.

We hope you will join us in singing your way through this pandemic and keeping spirits high where possible. If you have any questions or would like to talk to us about anything, you'll find us on our website
